Ezz-thetic Records is a spankin’ new Chicago based recording label dedicated to releasing music existing in the hybrid spaces between musical genres. They love strange music. Jeff Schroeder (Smashing Pumpkins) wanted to make his own label to collaborate and cross-pollinate across different creative disciplines. Jeff has begun to curate a space where musicians and artists of many varieties come together to create unique ways to package and disseminate music. A close partnership with Chicago-based Metric Coffee launched the first limited edition label box set release, ‘Day of Reckoning’ (which includes the cassette w/download, an 8oz bag of Metric Coffee Co.’s Proyecto Cabañas coffee, and a print). Huge thanks to the Metric Coffee Team, Jeff Schroeder, Ben Petty & Lindsay Myers for all their effort and coordination of this ambitious launch.
